New Releases and Review of Desire in a Kiss by Nicki Night

Those in my inner circle already know my top two favorite genres are African American Christian Fiction and African American Romance.  In the romance department, several new books were released today.  And what's great about them is they have a Christmas Theme, which is coming soon and is my favorite holiday.

1)Seduced by the Tycoon at Christmas by Pamela Yaye.

For those that have followed Pamela's stories, you're already aware she has a series that are about a family called the Morretti's, an extremely wealthy Italian Family.  The newest book in the Series is about Romeo, and the woman who just might sweep him off his feet, Zoe Smith.  I'm sure this one will be as good as the others.

2) A Love like this by Kianna Alexander

Kianna has become one of my new favorites after meeting her at Romance Slam Jam in 2015 and finding out about her Gentlemen of Queen City Series.  Her newest book is a part of the Sapphire Shores Series, and this first book is about an injured Hollywood action star named Devon Granger, and real estate heiress Hadley Monroe.  I'm sure this will become another favorite series of mine.

3) An Unexpected Holiday Gift by Martha Kennerson

Martha's newest book is a part of the Kingsleys of Texas, and this particular book centers around an NBA star/Oil company Heir Keylan Kingsley and Single mother Mia Ramirez.  Another book I can't wait to get into this holiday season

4)Desire in A Kiss By Nicki Night

This happens to be so far my favorite book in the series as well as book 2 in the series.

About the Book
Ambitious, charming and heir to a food empire, Christian Chandler has no problem meeting women. If only more of them could see beyond his family’s fortune… On impulse, he creates a fake dating profile and quickly connects with petite powerhouse Serenity Williams. She’s smart, down-to-earth and ignites his fantasies from their first encounter. He has to tell her who he really is. But how can he admit the truth to a woman for whom honesty is everything?

Serenity has transformed her life—dropping a lying ex and starting her own nonprofit—and is finally ready to date again. Online, “Chris Mullins” is perfect. In real life, he’s even hotter. From extravagant dates to black-tie balls, Serenity’s falling fast…and then devastated to find she’s been taken in by another fraud. To rekindle their trust, Chris must prove that what they share is the deepest passion she’s ever known…

My Review
Unfortunately dating is just as hard in real life as it is in books.  While I don't advocate lying, especially at the beginning of a relationship, I understand why Chris did what he did.  Unfortunately it's hard to judge someone's motives when you're dating and people really need to protect themselves.  On the other hand, I understand why Serenity acted the way she did.  When you've been burned before, Trust can be hard to give.  But as always, Nicki gives us a wonderful story that we all can relate to, and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
