My Review:
Although this book is short, it packs a lot of heartache and trauma. Shaquia tells of her parents, especially her mother's life story and how tragedy changed the path of the life of her and her older sister. And seeing what her grandmother Samantha did was especially heartbreaking. And at the end of the book, the author gives answers to some questions she is probably frequently asked. A powerful read that shows how God is there even when we don't see how.
